What Is Dropshipping?
Dropshipping is a fulfillment method where a store/online seller
doesn’t keep the products it sells in stock. Instead, when a seller sells a
product using dropshipping, it purchases the item from us and we ship it
directly to your customer. As a result, you, the seller, won’t handle the
product directly. This saves you time and money.
The difference between dropshipping and a retail store is that
you the seller doesn’t stock or own inventory so no capital layout is necessary
what so ever. Instead, you the seller purchases inventory as needed from us and
we fulfill orders for you.
Quick example: You the seller, sell to Mr. X for R200.00 excluding
shipping of R99.00
Mr. X pays his order of R299.00 once you have received the funds
contact us via email at dropshipper@erektsa.co.za
with the shipping information of Mr. X so our team can start processing the
order on your behalf.
We ship your order out as soon as we receive the funds of R90.00
plus the R99.00 for shipping and you retain the R110.00 you made. Reminder, this
is only an example.
Mr. X remains your client as we will not add any marketing material
nor supply any detail of ours when shipped, but your own.
Benefits of dropshipping
With the dropshipping,
you don’t have to purchase a product unless you’ve already made the sale and
have been paid by the customer. Without significant up-front investments, there’s
less risk involved in starting a dropshipping store.
No capital is required for stock
The biggest advantage
to dropshipping is that it’s possible to launch an ecommerce store without
having to invest thousands of rand in stock up front. We will also give you the
best recommendation on which platform you can join instantly and start making
an income. We will also suggest which ecommerce websites to use, which are easy
to use and support South African online payments by credit cards or debt cards.
